Katie Schwab Paige is a trustee, board chair, and president of the Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation. Katie has been a Trustee of the Foundation since 2006. In 2021, she assumed the leadership of the Foundation from her parents. 

For over 20 years, Katie has been a strong advocate for education reform and ending poverty in the Bay Area. After working at the Robin Hood Foundation in New York City, where she was first introduced to KIPP and other high-performing charter schools, Katie led the Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation’s pivot and broadening of its focus from learning differences to education reform efforts in public K-12 schools. She has been a Board Member at Tipping Point Community since its founding in 2005. 

In 2018, Katie co-founded with four other women an investment collective, Short List Capital, that supports early-stage consumer businesses. She is actively engaged in the Bay Area arts community as a collector, arts enthusiast, and an organizer of the Fog Art + Design Fair in SF. Katie also serves on the Board of Directors for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.   

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University. Katie lives in San Francisco with her husband and
three daughters.
