Amanda Aiken
Program Officer

Amanda Aiken is a program officer for the Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation with a focus on the K-12 education grant portfolio. She is also a doctoral student and Presidential Public Fellow at Harvard University in the Educational Leadership program. Amanda is an adjunct professor with Relay Graduate School of Education, and she has served as an internship coach with Teachers College Summer Principals' Academy.

Previously, Amanda served as the senior chief and schools officer for NOLA Public Schools overseeing portfolio, school and student support, and common enrollment. She was also chief of external relations for the Orleans Parish School Board supporting the rebrand of the school district to NOLA Public Schools and launching innovative advisory committees. She worked for New Orleans College Prep Charter Management Organization as senior director of schools and resident principal.  She also served as turnaround principal for Lawrence D. Crocker College Prep, and she taught 4th grade in Gwinnett County, Georgia. 

Amanda graduated from Spelman College, Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude, with a BA in Child Development/Teacher Certification. She obtained her Masters Degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University. Amanda is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and The Links Incorporated.
